Election day has a message for anyone listening. How many will hear what the voters are truly saying?

One of the things I am most looking forward to this Tuesday is just how cluelessly the Republicans and their media pundits will misread the outcome. Looking for someone to malign, they will grab the magnifying glass, belly up to the microphone and moralize ad nauseam. Well prior to the polls closing, the pundits will place blame on President Obama and his policies, warning the White House of a tide change in Washington. As the champagne pops, before the corks ricochet off the ceiling and hit the floor, many in the GOP will be counting the tallies and licking their chops. Before Hannity high-fives Rove and Dick Morris reminds Fox viewers yet again of his website address, Republicans across the country will misinterpret the outcome as “a mandate.”

On the other side of the aisle, Maddow, Olbermann, Matthews and their gang will echo the thoughts of columnist Joe Klein or Senator John Kerry that we are “a nation of dodos” or that our country is gripped in “know nothingism” or that we are too “scared” to “think clearly” if you listen to President Obama. They will lament an electorate that proved itself too dimwitted and pea-brained to know any better, while others in the mainstream media will erroneously claim the vote as a normal migration of voters in a midterm election; a natural campaign cycle. Ah, opinion journalism at its best!

How long will it take for the political class and the media pundits that support them to realize we are tired of our elected “public servants” taking care of themselves and choosing their cohorts over their constituents? Our government is gridlocked simply because they are looking out for themselves, backlogged while the bureaucrats are too busy battling for power. Just how gullible must we seem?

This election day, mainly unbeknownst to the political class, we are not pulling them to the center nor we are not pushing them to the left or the right. We are pushing them out of the way. It’s more than anti-incumbent. It’s more than pro-change. We’re not angry, we’re awake to their shenanigans and we’re not going to sit idly by nor are we going to stand for it anymore.

Liberty, smaller government, freedom…they are worth voting for!

I have a simple question. Can a judicial nominee to the United States Supreme Court be held accountable for misleading Senators in a nomination hearing? OK, maybe two questions. Can a Supreme Court Justice be accused of deceptive advertising?

Interesting article today in Washington Times makes we wonder about the above. Justice Sotomayor seems to have waffled on her 2nd Amendment opinion; giving conflicting answers between her nomination subcommittee hearing and how she voted yesterday in the McDonald Case. Apparently she decided to “vote for” the 2nd Amendment “before (she) voted against it.” Advertising one thing, providing another. Quite a flip-flop.

Do you find it interesting, or a flat out warning perhaps, that Solicitor General Kagan was introduced to the Senate this week by Senator John Kerry, the originator of the 2006 “I actually did vote for the $87 billion, before I voted against it.”

How does a nominee tell the Senate one thing hoping to be confirmed, only to vote to the contrary as a member of the 9? Perhaps, they’ve learned it from the very politicians they are pandering to for life-long court tenure?

What has it come to when we can’t even count on our Supreme Court Justices to shoot straight?

Have you ever noticed how some politicians, political pundits and news reporters seem huge fans of your right to speak [...]

Have you ever noticed how some politicians, political pundits and news reporters seem huge fans of your right to speak your mind, right up until you dare to disagree? Once you officially take issue with their position, your perspective is not longer protected. Your opinion counts as long as you don’t oppose them. It’s a uniquely legislative bent to the First Amendment and our Constitutional Protections. Kind of reminds me a bit of Senator John Kerry back in 2006. “I actually did vote for the $87 billion, before I voted against it.” Some are fans of the First right up until they flip-flop.

It’s one of the most annoying double standards, a philosophical one-eighty of the most irritating kind. The latest version, sadly only the latest version, comes from Mr. Karl Rove. During an interview with “Fox and Friends” he labeled some Code Pink protesters at a recent “Courage or Consequences” book signing of his as “sad and pathetic people” and a “nut” that didn’t deserve “any more attention.” Now, let’s juxtapose a piece he wrote April 1 for the Wall Street Journal when he stated that the Tea Party Protesters are a “new force that’s bringing millions of here-to-fore unengaged Democrats, independents and Republicans into the political arena. If there’s something a ruling party doesn’t like, it’s a new political player converting spectators into participants.”

Let’s brake it down down…Code Pink….”Sad and pathetic.” Tea Party…”spectators and participants.” Hmmmm. Apparently, if you agree with Mr. Rove you are a movement. If you disagree, you are maligned. Your opinion counts, only if he can count on you to see it his way.

FOX News is great while it helps him sell his book and “sad” when they report the truth.

Perhaps someone should tell him if he is going to have the courage to publicize his book, he has to suffer the consequences of free speech, regardless.
