Now that President Obama has publicly accused the U.S. Chamber of Commerce of accepting foreign contributions in an attempt to [...]

Now that President Obama has publicly accused the U.S. Chamber of Commerce of accepting foreign contributions in an attempt to finance and fix the upcoming elections, there is only one fork in the road. Only two paths are available to our Chief Executive.

In accordance with Article II, Section I of our Constitution, the President elect must take the following oath. “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

To me, the Oath of Office binds any President to “preserve, protect and defend” our Constitution. Pretty simple stuff, really. One way to defend the greatest legal document the world has even known, is to prosecute (via the Justice Department) those individuals or organizations “attacking” it by breaking the law.

If President Obama has evidentiary facts that support his position of illegalities on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce is he not by honor compelled to formally investigate and then prosecute those guilty parties? If illegal, foreign contributions are being funneled by the Chamber of Commerce into political elections, that would seem, to an ignoramus like me, an “attack” on the very spirit of our Constitution. Our founders constructed it to escape foreign domination, influence and control.

President Obama needs to either investigate his claims and take legal action or stand down with his accusations. His administration needs to “put up or shut up.”

Is he correct in his claims? Don’t know. I suspect he could be. Who am I to say. Good thing we have the Justice Department and Attorney General Holder to get tot he bottom of it.

I don’t care if the President is now “distancing himself” from his earlier comments or what David Axelrod has to say on the issue. Many of us trust him about as much as we do Karl Rove. If there has been a crime, he needs to order an investigation. If he was crying foul without any facts, he needs to apologize.

Our world is full of slander and libel these days. Accusations are a dime a dozen. Seems to me that if you accuse someone you of a misdeed you should bring both the evidence and the balls to back it up. If you come with neither, don’t even bother opening your mouth.

Nearly a month after the BP Deepwater Horizon oil rig ruptured and began polluting the Gulf of Mexico, our Interior Secretary offered the following promise. “If we find that they’re not doing what they’re supposed to be doing, we’ll push them out of the way,” said Ken Salazar. “We’ll push them out of the way.” Hmmm. OK.

Fast forward to today when, during a White House Press conference focusing on the man-made disaster, Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen was asked to respond to the earlier comments of Sec. Salazar. Raising an eyebrow, shrugging his shoulders and turning his palms skyward, he answered the question with a question, “and replace them with what?” He continued that the United States has neither the “competence, capability or capacity” to answer a disaster at 5000 feet beneath the surface of the Gulf.

Moments later on Fox News Studio B with Shepard Smith, White House spokesperson David Axelrod concurred saying the United States was not equipped to take over the sealing of the damaged pipeline. So, bottom line? In spite of all the strong words and soundbites we can’t “push them out of the way.” We don’t need tough words, we need tough actions. We don’t need bravado Mr. Secretary; we need to blow the well, seal it and save the affected Gulf shores.

Though that action will cause British Petroleum to loose not only the oil reservoir but the billions in invested and future dollars, tough luck.

UPDATE. White House adviser David Axelrod confirms Republicans fumbled in health care debate. So, the vote is over and depending [...]

UPDATE. White House adviser David Axelrod confirms Republicans fumbled in health care debate.

So, the vote is over and depending how you feel, you either perceive you won or lost. Poor Stupak, in the end he did turn out to be the President’s stooge. Now all sides are trading shots; Republicans crying, Democrats (most of them) clapping, tea-baggers taking it full on. All the bitterness, all the vilification, all the negative labels and name calling have just begun. Wait and see. But that is not what this post is about.

The day after the Republican Party suffers one of its most humiliating defeats in legislative history, the morning after being stomped on the floor of the House, Chairman Steele and the RNC rise to the challenge facing our country and give us the Fire Nancy Pelosi campaign. Instead of screaming “Hell No” and promising repeals of a law they know they cannot stop, why couldn’t Steele come up with something more than a popular Twitter title. It wasn’t a takeover, it was a fumble and instead of owning up for the Republican fiasco, he sets out to focus on old news; No bold direction, just more bawling.

I have a bulletin for you Mr. Chairman. Pelosi did’t win, the GOP lost. Yesterday’s vote was 9 years in the making, so raise your money Chairman Steele for the Goofy Old Party. Your days are numbered. You are a joke and most everyone knows it now.

Today, I am no longer a Democrat. I can’t, in good conscience bring the GOP down as an outsider. I’m joining the Republican Party and announcing the Republicans Need Change campaign. Steele…Out. Boehner…Out. Romney….Out. Gingrich….Out. McCain…Out. Hatch…Out. And that’s just the beginning of the list. Not even Hannity himself will be able to save you!

Now I know I’m just one guy. (Probably a total of like 6 people will read this post, if I’m lucky, on a good day with my friends logging on). But from this day forward I am calling for, and working towards the removal of ANY sitting Republican politician responsible for the events that culminated yesterday. They are the only repeal I am interested in. The only rescinding I give a damn about is their position in the Congress.

The Conservatives are coming for you. The ReBl’s are on their way. Save your crying. Start your packing. There is indeed a “new era” today and you are not a part of it.
