Earlier last month, Congress and the Media were all worked up about a possible “CIA assassination squad” being trained to hunt down and kill al Qaeda, Taliban and other terrorist group leaders.

So why the fury over the “assassination squads” in the first place?  Come on, be honest.

If we use drones to take out Taliban, if we use missiles attacks on al Qaeda, our opposition to assassination is what, specifically?

It may not be popular, or politically correct, to use the terms “war on terror” or “enemy combatants” or even “radical fundamentalists.” Problem is, that prohibition goes only one way. Our enemies, are in fact that, our enemies. They do not care about the words we use to describe them, for they are too focused and concerned with their jihad against us. Unfortunate, but true.

The U.S. Military and the Central Intelligence Agency must continue to destroy the threat against us with all means possible. Killing the enemy is what we pay them to do.

Military drones or an assassin’s dagger?  Just get the job done.

On April 12th 2009, I wrote a blog on Wonder Explore Believe, “Somali Pirates Deserved Diplomacy Backed by a Bit of Gunpowder.”

“These hijacking, kidnapping, hostage-holding, life-threatening terrorists showed a depraved indifference to human life, had tied and bound Captain Phillips of the Maersk Alabama, fired at him during his initial escape attempt and threatened him over the course of several days with AK-47s. Each absolutely deserved the bullet they received.”

Contrary to all the pundits and experts, not to mention the threats of the pirates themselves about increased attacks in retaliation, I’m not sure that there has been one single U.S. ship taken since. For all the bravado, looks like the Somali bad-guys got the message.

“I know it’s not a popular opinion anymore, but I do believe in diplomacy backed by a bit of gunpowder.”

With the breaking news this morning out of Jakarta, Indonesia of two deadly terrorist bombings at the Ritz-Carlton and J.W.Marriott coupled with recent reports of members of Congress calling for special investigations into CIA plans to track and kill terrorist leaders, I’m left wondering if we truly realize what we are up against?

Is that not a function of the CIA and U.S. Military, to track and kill terrorists? If that isn’t in their job description, it most certainly ought to be!

I’m for Bin Laden’s head in a bag, body in a box, or cremation in the Chitral mountains; all good in my book.

With the Taliban buying children to dress them as bombers and July becoming the deadliest month for foreign troops in Afghanistan, we need to rethink our approach.

Here’s a thought. For those hell-bent on martyrdom, let’s meet them half way. For those that murder innocent people in the name of the after-life, let’s help to expedite the meeting between them and their maker.  Let’s demand that congress and the President authorize the CIA and all military forces to target, track, and mark these terrorists, “Return to Vendor“.

Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Hassan Ghadiri claims, “Well, if the CIA wants to kill some people and attribute that to the government elements, then choosing women is an appropriate choice, because the death of a woman draws more sympathy.” In fairness, CNN is reporting that Ghadiri added,  “I am not saying that now the CIA has done this. There are different groups. It could be the [work of another] intelligence service; it could be the CIA; it could be the terrorists. Anyway, there are people who employ these types of methods.”

Targeting others so as to distract from the truth? Laying the culpability at the feet of the CIA? Where have I heard that before?

The Ayatollah in his latest search for a Satan singles out the CIA. What took him so long? It’s already Wednesday.

With the Military forces in Iran are using batons, bullets, water canons, tear gas, tanks, armored police vehicles, motorcycles, helicopters and roof-top snipers, when they attack human-shields from behind shatter-proof riot shields, I have a couple of questions.  Just how much would it cost the CIA to fund the rocks and broken pieces of cement I’ve seen the protesters using? What’s a ton of busted up concrete going for these days? Mortar against mortars, what’s the bottom dollar line?

Actually, I have a follow-up question? Does the CIA take credit cards?
