For all the pomp, piety and posturing of the Pope and the Catholic Church, there is one heinous and vile habit within the hierarchy of the Vatican that should make all of us want to go ballistic.

Now, I can’t do a better job of describing the horrible details than the two compelling articles today in The Huffington Post and The Daily Beast.  Is there a greater coverup imaginable than protecting someone who rapes and molests a child?

When it comes to the sexual predation and the systematic physical assault of children there is a un-crossable chasm between turning the other cheek and looking the other way. There never should have been a second “pedophile priest” or an initial papal coverup. Those responsible for participating, for propagating this habit and breeding these monsters should be targeted and incarcerated regardless of their titles.

I’ve got an idea. How about prosecutors in the responsible jurisdictions try growing a set, charge ANYONE involved under the Rico Act, and send them straight to a jail cell smaller than a confessional.
