UPDATE.

Repeat offender and convict believed to be the serial killer from South Carolina.

Serial Killer may have seen his last days.

Original Post

Gaffeny, South Carolina is locked-down in fear. Authorities believe that the 5 homicides are related through a single killer. Ballistic tests and victim autopsies have probably aided in this determination.

As police agencies combine their efforts to identify, track and capture this serial killer, they are also looking at the victims for clues and how they might be connected.

1. Kline W. Cash, 63

2. 50-year-old  Gena Linder Parker  and her mother, Hazel Linder, 83

3. 15-year-old Abby Tyler and her father, Stephen Tyler, 48.

Is it possible that the killer is targeting the “bond” between the victims and not necessarily the individuals victims themselves?  Did  Mr. Cash have a wife or child that first attracted the killer’s attention, yet ultimately escaped his wrath?  Is the killer “acting out” his personal-family-anger, or recent-perceived-parental-injustice, on the community as a whole?  Is it possible that the deranged killer’s motive is one based on jealousy and a personally-projected sense of revenge?  These slayings are far from random in the eyes of a killer; to him, these murders are methodical.
