In a horrific homicide/suicide, 48 year old George Sodini brought four handguns into the LA Fitness gym outside Pittsburgh and opened fire. Before the shooting was over, 3 women were dead and 9 injured when the killer turned the gun on himself.
Officials are reporting that a note found at the scene in Sodini’s gym bag, was filled with hatred for women and society, which he believed had shunned him.
Though authorities in Pittsburgh have yet to report a history of psychological illness in Sodini, it is clear that he was mentally disturbed.
