Our Iceberg Is Melting. No. This is not a global warming debate.

Published on June 27th, 2009

I just finished at quick read of a book by John Kotter and Holger Rathgeber entitled “Our Iceberg Is Melting.” A “bestseller” on a half a dozen of the biggest lists, it continues to create quite a buzz.

Now, I know, given the House of Representatives vote yesterday on the energy overhaul bill coupled with the provocative title of this book, that the emails, posts, texts and tweets will start flying. As always, I welcome the debate, just wanted to be honest up-front.

This is not a pro-Gore vs. anti-Gore discussion. Global warming, global cooling, science fiction, science fact not important for the purposes of this discussion. The phrase “cap-and-trade” is written nowhere in its 147 pages. I promise. I read it twice though I’m not sure if Rep. Waxman or Rep. Boehner have read it. I’m fairly certain that President Obama has no plans for an 11th hour push to help the sales.

The penguins in this work are well worth your time.
