That is not the writers intent. Defensive, misguided comments such as yours would only lead me to believe you, yourself are either an abuser or have been abused and have not dealt with it yet. What we in civilized society want is for all horrible and unnecessary crimes to stop And for the criminals, whatever gender they may be, who committ them, to be properly punished! There are an abundance of women doing life in prison for unspeakable crimes they've committed against men! So before you shoot off another hot aired comment without thinking first, maybe you should look deep inside of yourself and discover where and why you have such unresolved anger and gender issues.

As a victim of domestic abuse, I applaud your raising awareness of these tragedies and the issue of domestic abuse. I am not naive enough to believe that women do not also abuse men but statistics, reports and prisons attest to the fact that the scale tips drastically towards male on female violence. How about this? Let's work towards eradicating violence as a whole? No one hurting anyone? No one lifting hands against another? Step one: respect others.
